 7.CONJUCTION (సముచ్చయము) :

A conjunction is a word used to join words, phrases or clauses.

Conjunctions are joining words.

రెండు మాటలను గాని, రెండు వాక్యము లనుకాని కలుపు మాటలను సముచ్చయములు (Conjunctions) అని అంటారు.

Examples:

1.  Ravi and Hari are good friends

2.  To fight or give up – that is what we have to decide.

3.  He ran fast but missed the train.

పై వాక్య ములో And, or, but అనేవి Conjunctions.

Conjunctions  ముఖ్యముగా రెండురకాలుగా ఉన్నాయి.

1. A Co-ordinating conjunctions joins together clauses of equa ranks. సమాన హోదాగల రెండు క్లాజ్ లను కలుపు Conjunctions నుCo-ordinating Conjunctions అని అంటారు.

Ex; and, but, or, for, norr, also, neither ....... nor,, either ....... or

1. Ramu and Ravi are friends.

2. A Subordinating Conjunctions joins a clause to another on which it depends for its full meaning.

(ఒక పూర్తి అర్థాన్ని చ్చే main clause . మీద అసంపూర్తి అర్థానిచ్చే subordinate clause ఉపయోగంతో ఆ రెండింటిని కలిపి, పూర్తి అర్థాన్ని చేకూర్చ గలిగే Conjuction ను Subordinating Conjunction. అని అంటారు).

Ex: He passed in the examinations because he study hard. కొన్ని ముఖ్యమైన సబార్డినేటింగ్ కన్ జన్క్షన్స్ :

After, if, that, though, although, before, unless, when, where, while, because, till, as.
