NOUN

  1. NOUN (నామ వాచకము) :

A noun is a word used as the name of a person , place or thing.

మనుష్యుల పేర్లు పట్టణములు, స్థలములు, జంతువులు, వస్తువులు, పర్వతములు, సలలు, వారములు,, సముద్రములు, నదులు మొదలైన వాటి పేర్లను , తెలియజేసే వాటిని ' (Nouns) నామవాచకములు అని అంటారు.

Examples:

Person Names:

Raju, Pramila, Krishna, Akhil etc...

Pace Names:

Nellore, Tirupati, Hyderabad etc…

Animal Names:                                                             

Cat, Dog, Cow, Lion etc…

Things Names:

Ball, Pen, Pencil etc…

Nouns ను ఐదు రకాలుగా విభజించవచ్చు :

 

1. Proper Nouns

2. Common Nouns

3. Collective Nouns

4. Material Noun

5. Abstract Noun

 

1. A Proper Noun is the name of only one person, place or thing, (ప్రత్యేకముగా ఒక్క మనుష్యునకు గాని, స్థలా నికి గాని, వస్తువుకు గానీ చెందునట్టి పేర్లను Proper nouns అనబడును)

Ex : India, Hyderabad, Neelima, Pramila

2. A Common Noun is a name given in common to every person or thing of the same class or kind,

 ఒకే జాతికి చెందిన ప్రతి వ్యక్తి కి గాని, వస్తువుకు గాని వచ్చే పేర్లను Common noun అని అంటారు.

Ex: Akbar was a great King. 

ఇక్కడ King అనేది అక్బర్ రాజు అని తెలుపుటయే కాకుండా మిగతా రాజులకు కూడా King అనేది వర్తిస్తుంది.

 కాబట్టి . 

ఇక్కడ Akbar proper noun గాను, King ని Common noun గాను వ్యవహరిస్తారు.

3. A Collective Noun is the name of a number or collection of persons or things taken together and spoken of as one whole. (మనుష్యుల యొక్క గాని, జంతువుల యొక్క గాని, లవస్తువుల యొక్క గాని, గుంపులను తెలియజేయు " పేర్లను కలెక్టివ్ నౌన్స్ అంటారు.)

Ex :

 An army ( సైన్యము),

 Crowd (గుంపు), 

 Flock (గొర్రెల మంద),

 Herd (మంద)

4. Material Noun is the name of some material or substance which is supposed to have no separate parts.

(సాధారణముగా విడిభాగములను ఉద్దేశింపక ఒకే ద్రవముగా గాని, ఒకే పోగుగా గాని వాయువుగా గాని పేర్కొను పదార్దములు.)

Ex: Coal, Chalk, iron, Silver, Gold, Milk, Hydrogen

 

 

5. An Abstract Noun is usually the name of a quality, action, or state considered apart from the object to which it belongs. (గుణముల యొక్క పనుల యొక్క స్థితుల యొక్క, శాస్త్రముల పేర్లను అబ్ స్టాక్ట్ నౌన్స్ అని అంటారు.)

 

Ex: Quality: Goodness, Kindness, Honesty, Wisdom, Bravery, Hardness. Action : Movement, Theft, Judgement. States ' Childhood, Poverty, Pleasure, Youth, Slavary, Death, Boyhood, Sleep.. Arts and Science : Poetry, Dance, Music, Chemistry.
